In a nutshell

This data privacy statement serves to clarify the type, scope and purpose of all personal data we are processing in relation to our programs, through our website and our connected social media accounts.

• We process data in line with national and international data protection laws, especially the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

• We take all reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect third parties from accessing your data without your consent.

• We regularly revise and delete data that is no longer needed, latest every two (2) years.

• We handle your personal data with care and respect, and only process the bare minimum of data to be able to continue offering you our services. We avoid social media like/share functions and other tools on our website which are known to process large amounts of personal data.

Contact us anytime to find out if and what personal data of yours we are processing. You can ask us anytime to complete, correct or delete any personal data of yours. 

Type of Data Processed

1. Contact Form & Email

We keep a record of your message, name and email address for two (2) years to be able to provide the requested information and service. 

2. Cookies & Logfiles

Our website hosting service processes anonymous data on website usage (logfiles). Processed data includes the date and time of access, type of browser, operating system, referrer URL (last visited website) and the IP address. Logfiles are saved for 7 days for security reasons, and are then deleted.

Our website uses cookies. You can deactivate and delete them in your browser. The deactivation of cookies may affect the usability of this website.

3. Provision of Services

Any personal data shared with us in our contact and registration forms is required for us to fulfil our services as determined in our contract. Any information marked as "required" in our online forms is needed for us to fulfil the contract between us.

4. Administration & Accounting

We keep records of your data as it relates to purchases of our products and services within the scope and time lines stipulated in national and international law. We share selected data with our chartered accountants as required for the continuity of our activities.

By subscribing to our newsletter you are agreeing to the following processes:

Content & Frequency

Our newsletter is scheduled to be sent approx. once a month with information about us and our past, ongoing and upcoming programs. The newsletter may contain links to blog articles on our website, and to other recommended media. 

Double-opt-in

We use a double-opt-in process to record your interest in joining our newsletter. After submitting your information, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your interest in being added to the list. This prevents misuse and spamming. We save the registration and confirmation date and time as well as the IP address.

Personal Data

We request your name and email address for adding you to our mailing list. This makes sure that we can personally address you.

Opt-Out / Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe or opt-out of our newsletter at any point. Each newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe. We may retain your data for up to three (3) years unless you individually request us to delete all data.

Newsletter Service Provider

For sending our newsletter, we are using the newsletter service „MailChimp“, a platform by US-based Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework, thus guaranteeing compliance with European data protection laws. We have furthermore entered into a Data Processing Agreement with MailChimp in which MailChimp confirms to protect our users' data and not hand it over to third parties. You can access MailChimp's data privacy statement at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

Newsletter Tracking

To determine the performance of newsletters, we track the IP address, time of access, opening time and frequency, as well as link clicks. This information is not used to observe individual user behaviour, but helps us design and create content that is relevant and valuable.

6. Social Media Presence

We are maintaining accounts on different social media platforms to share our programs and communicate with users. If you are interacting with us on social media, the terms and conditions and data privacy statements of each individual social media platform apply. We maintain records of social media transactions (messages and comments) for communication purposes. 

7. Embedded Third Party Services and Content

Our website makes limited use of third party services and content in our justified interest. This may lead to third party services tracking the IP address, setting cookies and processing anonymous data, such as browser and operating system, date and time of access, pages visited and referring URLs.

Instagram

Changes to Data Privacy Statement

We reserve the right to make changes to our Data Privacy Statement anytime as it relates to data processed by third party services. Core parts of the Data Privacy Statement as stipulated by national and international law can only be altered with users' consent. 

We request users to stay informed about our data privacy policy by regularly referring to the Data Privacy Statement.
