While contemporary in application and language, our teachings are based on the thousands of years old Vedic and Yogic tradition of India.

Our Teachers

The source of our practice and teachings is Swami Sivananda Saraswati of Himalayas and some of his main disciples – Swami Vishnudevananda, Swami Krishnananda, Swami Satyananda, as well as Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Arsha Vidya Gurukulam.

Yoga of Synthesis

At Yoga Vana, we practice and teach Swami Sivananda’s Yoga of Synthesis which aims at the harmonious development of a human being through the practice of all four paths of Yoga: Raja Yoga (body & mind), Bhakti Yoga (emotions), Jnana Yoga (intellect) and Karma Yoga (work & action).

We follow the systematic teaching methodology of Vedic knowledge as taught and explained by Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

Yoga must educate and develop the whole man - his heart, intellect and hand. Then only he will have integral development.
